Youth Mental Health First Aid Two Day 16 people, inclusive of resources and two day course
The course offers a view of Unique Individuals and how nature and nurture can influence our growth. An overview of Child and Adolescent Psychological Development as we explore theory of Erikson and Identity. Developmental Domains and the potential impact of abuse and neglect will be explored. We will have discussion about Sensory Systems, Neurodiversity and think how we can Put Theory into Practice.
Our Autism Training offer if in-person will need to take place in Stoke on Trent. Our Resources can be used if you work with us.

The training session that aims to provide an introduction to developing practice in settings regarding social and emotional development. Goals of the training are to provide an overview of Psychological Development, Social, Emotional development with some exploration of Mental Health. The training provides opportunity to discuss and explore how assessments, observations and knowing a person can support developing practice. There will be links to The Code of Practice. The training session also aims to provide an introduction to the development of identity. There is an expectation that evidence of self study and a course evaluation be completed prior to a certificate of attendance being issued.
The training session aims to provide an introduction to the impact of early experience on sensory development. The training session goals are to give an awareness of early experiences and sensory development alongside the importance of knowing about these links. There will be time to share ideas and strategies that will support ongoing understanding and development to meet needs of children in settings. Attachment Styles of Relating (Awareness Raising) This course offers an overview attachment theory foundations and stages of attachment. Styles of Relating with theoretical links and practical strategies for understanding and managing dynamics in relating will be explored.
Compassionate and Sensitive Systems (Trauma Awareness). Overview of PIES. The session provides an overview of PIES with some practical activities. An overview of Trauma Sensitive Systems will be explored.
The focus of this one day course is understanding the neurosequential Model of Development and contingency based systems. The Learning brain by Dr Bruce Perry will be explored so you leave with an understanding of the concepts Regulate, Relate and Reason. The Ecological Approach to mental health by Dr Manie Aston will be explored to promote inclusion, equity, wellbeing and creativity. Exploring shame, guilt will give an insight into some underlying reasons for behaviours we don't understand. You will leave the course with ideas and thoughts about how to de-escalate situations, what to do and how to support problem solving to avoid escalation of conflict. What to do

The goals of the workshop are to offer practitioners an Introduction to emotion coaching practices, alongside providing an introduction to PACE. The workshop that aims to provide an introduction of how Transition, Endings and Loss can impact on adults working with young people and families. The goals of the workshop are to provide awareness of and knowledge of transitions, endings and loss and impact on individuals. An exploration of supportive processes and strategies will be provided.
